Why KC Consulting: Kiana Morris, MBA, CMCP
Kiana has a wealth of experience in event planning, executive coaching, public relations, communications, and project management. Before starting KC Consulting, Kiana managed highly-visible special projects, helped develop strategic plans, proposed succession planning strategies, and fostered change management initiatives in the federal government.
She has served as a crisis management communications lead, been the Director of Programs and Events for the American Association for University Women: Younger Women’s Task Force, and is a former President of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Young Professional Network, where she led over 1,300 members in community service, public health, and professional development initiatives.
Kiana became a certified Crisis Management Communications Professional (CMCP) through the International Consortium for Organizational Resilience. She has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Mass Media Arts-Public Relations Management from Clark Atlanta University and a Master’s of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Georgia and a certification in Meta-Leadership from Harvard University. She is also certified in Lean Six Sigma, project management, and as an executive leadership coach.
A true public servant, Kiana was nominated as one of Forbes 30 Under 30 and honored at the inaugural “Women on the Move” charity event for her commitment to service in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. She also served on panels with U. S. Presidential Appointees to give insight on government career mapping. Prior to working in the federal government, she worked in the private sector doing marketing, public relations management, and consulting.
